Map Out the Future of Your Research

This is it! Millions of dollars are up for grabs and we're doing more than ever to make winning possible! On Mar. 3, we announced the launch of a new series of programs, SBIR Funding Labs including the inaugural program that bolsters green technologies across the United States - the GreenTech National Funding Lab.

As the OK Catalyst team anticipated the arrival of 2022 we knew we wanted to focus on creating a strengthened path for founders to get involved with our programs. As we roll out our first initial lab we wanted to provide context for how our programs are designed to work. Keep reading to learn about the sequence of our programs, what we offer and how to get involved.

An introductory, two-day boot camp for participants to gain a deeper understanding of the technology commercialization process. Roadmap invites guest speakers across the entrepreneurial ecosystem to share their industry know-how and provide tangible next steps for participants. Truly the first step for early-stage founders in the process, Roadmap is meant to provide a high-level overview of the journey to becoming an entrepreneur and transforming R&D into a product that consumers want to buy.

Once founders complete the two-day boot camp, our SBIR Experts are on standby to help you navigate to the next destination on your journey to tech commercialization. Some stops you might consider along the way are our follow-on programs like the SBIR Funding Labs and the SBIR Accelerator Programs that offer enhanced agency matching and more. All applications are due tomorrow, Mar. 11 at 5 p.m. CST for the Spring 2022 cohort. Run, don't walk, to finish your application!

Designed to help hi-tech, hi-risk startups win SBIR funding, these 12-month labs provide founders with the tools and strategies to submit up to 3 award-winning funding proposals throughout the duration of the lab.

The Funding Labs enhance opportunities to submit to several participating agencies including the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Department of Energy (DOE), The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Aeronautics, and Space Administration (NASA), and the Department of Defense (DOD)!

These programs are open to founders across the board. Whether you have never applied for SBIR, attended Roadmap as a cohort participant or you're a veteran of our SBIR accelerator program - our biggest criteria is that you bring awesome technology, research, and enthusiasm and we'll help with the rest.

Keep reading to learn more about our first official lab and stay tuned for more labs launching later in 2022 and beyond.
